The best path to success is getting the most out of the tools you have. When you optimize resources, automation, and software, you save time, reduce costs, and protect your sanity. Through Ataccama One and our Agentic platform, we strive to help our users succeed by ensuring they understand exactly what they can do with our product and how it fits their use cases. That’s why we’ve reinvigorated our product enablement webinars.
Each quarter, we host an enablement webinar that highlights the latest enhancements to Ataccama One and our Agentic platform. In these sessions, we spotlight the improvements included in each version and explain how they impact you as a user. The webinars include live demos, reviews of specific use cases, and live Q&A sessions with our product team.
Our most recent webinar covered version 16.3, so let’s review some of the highlights, features, and common questions.
What were the major focuses of the 16.3 release?
For this release, we focused on three major trends we identified after working closely with our users and understanding their biggest challenges. We condensed these insights into three key initiatives:
-
Strengthening lineage initiatives
-
Supporting cloud adoption
-
Increasing data volume capabilities
Within our lineage solutions, we discovered that many users struggled to adopt them because they were too technical or costly to implement in complex environments. To address this, we introduced several updates. For example, we added AI assistance within transformation processes to help users better understand issues and findings. We also introduced Transformation Chains, a new feature that allows users to create end-to-end transformation flows that increase control and simplify data transformation management.
We also recognize that many teams and workspaces continue to move toward cloud environments. To support this shift, we improved cloud security and performance, ensuring users can access the full set of 16.3 updates regardless of where they operate.
As our users scale their Ataccama environments, they also experience significant increases in data volume. To support this growth, we enhanced our data volume capabilities so customers can operate at maximum capacity while maintaining performance and availability.
Alongside these improvements, we enhanced pushdown processes, built a new Atlan Catalog integration, and increased MDM availability. We explore these updates in greater detail during the webinar.
Our team is very interested in DQ Gates. How in depth does this webinar go?
This webinar primarily focuses on the overall impact of the 16.3 release and highlights new features across lineage, MDM, and data cataloging. While we briefly discuss Data Quality Gates, they are not the primary focus of this session.
However, we offer a dedicated webinar focused entirely on DQ Gates, which you can watch at any time. In that session, our partner team and success engineers walk through the feature in detail and provide a live demo.
Do these updates apply only to the cloud version, or to on-prem instances as well?
All updates included in version 16.3 apply to on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments. Once you upgrade, you can integrate these enhancements directly into your existing Ataccama experience.
