A couple months ago we published our first Community Feedback Survey and we had an overwhelming number of responses from all our community members so thank you so much for taking the time to contribute and share your suggestions with us.

Well, for starters, it seems the documentation PDF’s have totally disappeared in the release of 15.4. This is a problem. Also online there is only the online reference, not an easily searchable PDF. Can you re-build a PDF? For example on setting security in RDM, there is zero information to be found on how to setup row-level security. If you got a link, please share.

The online docs are not very easy to use. For example, there is no info at all on the setup of security in RDM / One Desktop.

Yes, thanks for that link. It indeed was what we were trying to find. But did you guys stop building the PDFs? They search a lot easier. 

​@Cansu  : can you ask your Doc team to:

  • add the text “Security” somewhere in that page, as it is the header name of this Permissions section in RDM One Desktop (at least in v14.5 it is) 
  • we were searching for Security and not finding anything
  • add examples in row level filtering (for example : Code = 'HQGRP' OR Code like 'ELIM%' ) and explain what is possible and what is not - for example you cant refer to other table’s columns here unfortunately. So if you have a COUNTRY list with CTRY and SUBREGION, a SUBREGION list with SUBREGION; REGION and a REGION list with REGION, and you want to secure per REGION, you can’t filter the COUNTRY because it has no link to the region directly, and you can’t set up a rule like SUBREGION = SUBREGION.SUBREGION AND SUBREGION.REGION = ‘EU’. I’ll add this to the Ideas section as well.
