Last month we took partĀ in the DAMA Day Prague in the Czech Republic for a full day of presentations, inspiring talks and discussions.Ā It was great to meet some of our members in person and have in real life conversations!Ā 

In this post, I want to share some highlights from the day as well asĀ a sneak peek into whatā€™s coming intoĀ Ataccama soon...Ā šŸ‘€

One of the earlier talks was onĀ Data Management challenges within organizations by David Jez, CDO titledĀ ā€œImportance of Company Culture in Data Management Program Adoptionā€. In Ataccama, this is something we frequently speak with our users so I wanted to bring the six points David touched upon and ask for your thoughts. The six risks mentioned are as follows:

  1. Resistance to change and user adoption
  2. Lack of data literacy
  3. Siloed teams and data ownership
  4. Leadership buy-in and support
  5. Over-reliance on the data team
  6. Fear of job redundancy or role changes
