The Community, Ataccama Portal and Academy are getting an update! To ensure a streamline and secure user login experience we’ll be updating our systems to a new single sign-on provider. This update will include new features, improved experience and a strong security so users can login with confidence their accounts are secure.
We’ve developed this FAQ to help provide additional visibility into the changes being made and address common questions or concerns you might have. If you have any questions this FAQ doesn’t address please contact our Customer Support team and they’ll be able to assist you.

Update as of February 9th 2026:
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) becomes mandatory on all Ataccama properties that utilize a username/password login method; including Community, Academy and the Ataccama Portal.
To improve user information and account security, we’ve updated our services to require MFA for login. This change will apply to all users who authenticate with Auth0 using a name and password, Single Sign On users are excluded from these settings.
What’s changing?
Effective 9.2.2026, it will no longer be possible to sign in using only a username and password.
During each login, you must verify your identity using another authentication factor, usually: a one-time code from an authenticator app (Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, Authy). You may also use another Auth0-supported method such as SSO.
Why we made the change:
Signing in utilizing only username and password runs increased security risks in the case of compromised information and accounts. This update increases security across the board, but specifically focuses on:
- Reduces the risk of unauthorized access in the event of password compromise.
- Aligning with current security standards and best practices.
How this impacts you and what we need you to do:
If you do not use MFA, you must set it up upon first login after February 9, 2026.
- Open an authenticator app on your mobile device.
- Follow instructions during the login process.
- Store your recovery codes in a safe place.
The setup process typically takes only a few minutes.
Important Notice:
If you do not complete MFA setup, you cannot log in.
Having trouble setting up your MFA?
Please contact our Customer Support team with any questions or MFA setup issues.
Update as of October 1st 2025:
When will this update happen?
This update will go live October 1st, with no expected down time. Users will be able to log in and access the Community, Academy and Ataccama Portal during the update.
Will I be able to login with my original login credentials still?
Yes, this update will not impact your current login or account. Users will be able to log into Community, Academy and the Ataccama Portal with the same credentials they utilized previously.
Do I need to take any action as a user to keep or update my account?
No, this update will be occurring in the background and users will continue to have access to their accounts after the upgrade regardless of when they next sign in. No action is needed on the user side.
How do I change the email associated with my accounts?
Users are unable to change their email addresses, and we recommend making a new account in the instance of changing companies or losing access to their original email address. If you’d like to migrate your badges to a new account, reach out to community@ataccama.com and we’ll be able to assist.
I’m having trouble logging in, who do I reach out to?
If you are experiencing problems signing in, please try creating the account again with your original email address. The system will be able to connect this new account with your original account that shares the same email across Academy, Community and the Portal as before, so it is important to use the same email address.
Any login questions or issues should be directed to our Customer Support team. They’ll be able to help you with any technical issues or questions you might have.
We’re excited to share this update with you, as we continue to streamline and optimize the user experience across all our platforms. Let us know if you have any additional questions and we look forward to seeing you on the Community, Academy and Ataccama Portal!
