Mass Delete Catalog Items

Forum|alt.badge.img+2

Hi Community,

We have a scenario where an entire schema was imported as an Ataccama source. This resulted in over 700 tables/views brought in as catalog items.

Is there a way to bulk delete all 700?

Thank you.

@akuma You can also delete the catalog items through the ONE Desktop tool. In the first step you will read the catalog items you want to delete using ONE Metadata Reader step, and in the second step you delete them using ONE Metadata Writer step with workflow state as Deleted. If interested in this approach, I can provide more information/example of the plan configuration. This can be used for any assets in the platfrom (terms, rules, ...)

Hi @akuma ,

thank you for your question. For earlier versions than 13.9.0 the only solution is to delete it one by one. From version 13.9 bulk delete will be possible.

Kind regards,

Adél

@akuma  You can massive delete at the schema level via “location”.  This will remove all tables/view that is associated to that schema(location)  see screen shot below.

Hi, as requested via direct message, for reference there is an example attached (for terms). Be careful with mass deletes, the deleted entities cannot be recovered.
