Hello,

Has someone used $environment$ variable in the subject line in RDM notification or any other notification emails?

We are experiencing an issue with the RDM when using the environment variable within our email notification template. When we configure the template to include $environment$ in the subject line, the received emails do not display the variable.

Thanks,

Ojaswini

Hi @Ojaswini,

To use environment variable you first need to set it up in RDM application.properties.
Here is the relevant part of the docs (https://docs.ataccama.com/pdf/Ataccama-14.5.0-documentation-rdm.zip)

Name Data Type Default Value Mandatory Description
ataccama.one.rdm.envi ronment String "" No The name of the environment used (available values are dev, prod). Can be used as a variable in email templates.

Can you doublecheck if the value is set-up for you?

Thank Akislyakov ,

We also had the same thought. Since we operate in a PAAS environment, we raised a support ticket with Ataccama on February 5th but haven't received any response despite multiple follow-ups. Therefore, we're asking here if anyone has implemented alternative solutions for this issue.

If this is the only way, then we will keep following up on the support ticket.

Many Thanks,

Ojaswini

Interesting topic. But in v14.5 i don’t see such a application.properties file. Any help? @Cansu maybe you know where to look? Or are we supposed to create one? I also want to write the environment into the email or into a string.

Hi @Joeri, if you are a self-managed customer, the file is located in the etc folder of the rdm app. For PaaS customers, the only way to change it is through Support request.
