Adding Notification to Monitoring project for all the rules

How to add notification to all the rules in monitoring Project for all the catalog items and set alert at 95% at once instead of doing it manually one by one?

Hi @akshayl09 ,

Thank you for your question!

You could do it via GraphQL calls.  Please see the documentation page dedicated to it - https://docs.ataccama.com/one/latest/one-apis/one-api.html
Please, also check 2 community posts with guidelines how to run GraphQL -

Kind regards,
Ekaterina

Thanks for your help @ekaterina.ponomareva !

I am not able to find the notification related tag in that. If you could provide, more information about it.

Is there anybody who has implemented such solution in project?

Hi @akshayl09 ,

I have understood that you would like to set a threshold to 95% and get warnings if this threshold is not met.
Could you please elaborate on what you mean by notifications so I can help you?

Kind regards,
Ekaterina

@ekaterina.ponomareva , I set up notification for each of the rules (as part of specific notification which can be set on catalog level or rule level - Monitoring Project Results, Reports, and Notifications :: Ataccama ONE). Recipients are same in all notifications.

Use case here, I want to set the notification for all the rules implemented in Monitoring Project if it doesn't meet the threshold using specific notification (as email).  If I have 100 rules implemented in a project, I have to add notification one by one for each rule. Is there any way to add notification to all the rules using GraphQL or Desktop tool?

@akshayl09 , thank you for your explanation! I see what you mean now.

Please consider carefully if you indeed want to set up notifications on every single rule. It could cause the recipient getting too many emails. Usually the notifications are set up on a rule level if the different users need to be notified regarding different problems, otherwise the notifications are usually  set up on a Catalog Item level.

You can change DQ threshold via GraphQL. As for the notifications on the rule level, as this is an unusual case, to be honest, I am not aware of such an example, but if you still want to go that way, it is worth exploring such a GraphQL call!

Please let me know if you need further help :)

Kind regards,
Ekaterina

@ekaterina.ponomareva  Thanks for information!

I would like to add, if rule level notification is added, it is coming as “DQ Project Finished” as one notification and highlight only rule failed to achieve the threshold. Hence it is easy to understand which rule failed through notification only and doesn't trigger too many emails for the user.
