For some time, we’ve seen a movement cross-industry that we can call data democratization – individuals or individual teams throughout an organization are using, transforming, and analyzing data, and relying on various, easily accessible technologies and tools to do so. And they’re creating a lot of value with these data-driven initiatives. These are bottom-up initiatives or democratized ones. It’s happening in many organizations, and generally, companies want to allow for data democratization, because it drives innovation.
