I would like to know if there is a reference about how to configure an external dpe using databricks on azure.

Hello,
The following document should provide information regarding DPE Configuration for Databricks integration:

I should mention that depending on your requirements you might want to configure the Databricks side of solution differently. Access Modes on the Databricks enforce quite a few limitations and can restrict you options you have in terms of authentication or access to Unity Catalog:

One of the limitations that is worth mentioning is that Databricks Runtime v 13.3LTS is the lates one our platform supports.
