we need to achieve completeness DQ control by comparing data in the file and the table irrespective of the position of primary key in either of them or by using composite keys. - This is in continuation with the query posted in ataccama community - Regarding DQ controls (ataccama.com) Do we have any step or document to follow on how we can import that file into ONE web app as catalog item and can we upload the file from local or we need to get that from the file system?

Thanks,

Karthikeyan.

Hi @Karthikeyan ,

You need to connect to the source(file) - https://docs.ataccama.com/one/latest/sources/sources.html  and once it is done you can get the table into the catalog items, where you can see all the location and schema that is mentioned in the previous post. For reconciliation projects to create here is the documentation - https://docs.ataccama.com/one/latest/data-quality/data-reconciliation.html. Hope this helps.

Hi @srija piratla , I have gone through the above document and tried creating a source which is a file, so I chose “File System” since I am trying to import a file.

Once I chose - “File system”. when I try to select “Mount name”. I am not able to find anything in the mount name dropdown or not able to type in the “Mount name”.

My understanding might not be correct - let me know your thoughts whether I am trying to follow the correct steps or I am missing anything.

Hi @Karthikeyan ,

These are the prerequisties for the file system connection. https://docs.ataccama.com/one/latest/sources/local-file-system-connection.html. If you have these setup then you can add the mount name.

Hope this helps !

Thanks @srija piratla - will check this and get back.

Hi @Karthikeyan, I’m closing this thread for now if you have any follow up questions please don’t hesitate to share them here or create a new post 🙋‍♀️
