RDM on localhost for MS Windows

(Ra Li) #1

I’m trying to start RDM on my local Windows 10 machine. I was able to establish connection to the admin center for DQIT, and also the interface up for UMC, DQD. However, I’m not able to start the RDM component after running the “start_tomcat.bat”.

Any ideas what could I be missing?

Thanks in advance,

Hello Ramzi,

Could you please provide more details? Do you face some kind of error? What configurations you have performed for RDM?

You can refer to this documentation with detailed description of how to deploy RDM on Tomcat.

Katrin

Hi Katrin,

I followed this guide to confirm the settings.

Below are the Java variables:

Whenever I start the “startup.bat”, it flashes and disappears immediately. And I get “page not found” when I try to pull the page up.

I’m using the rdm.xml as noted in the guide.

EDIT: here is an error after I start “start_tomcat.bat”:

INFO: Deploying configuration descriptor C:\Users\rliddawi\Desktop\DQC\tomcat\conf\Catalina\localhost\rdm.xml

Hello Ramzi,

What is the version of RDM that you are using? Are you deploying RDM on standalone Tomcat or you are using the built-in Tomcat that goes with our build? Could you please share the tomcat logs, you can usually find them in [tomcat_home]/logs directory?

Regards,
Katrin
