Running DQ Analyzer on Intel Core i7

I recently downloaded the DQ Analyzer software, but am running into a problem related to the license. I have a laptop w/ an Intel Core i7 processor which is considered to have 8 cores. The license I downloaded restricts me to 4 cores. I believe the i7 is actually 4 physical cores w/ 2 hardware threads per core. Has anyone run this software on a machine that has more than 4 cores? I'd really like to use this software, but am frustrated by this limitation.

    I'm starting to question the wisdom of considering this product. I have received no response from either the community or the sales/support staff. I'll give it one more week, but if I don't receive any response, I will have to abandon this product, and discourage my clients and colleagues from considering it as well.

    Hi Mark,
    sorry for late response.
    DQ Analyzer is a subset of larger product from Ataccama - Data Quality Center. There are no technical limits running software on server with higher number of processors. (In fact we do that in number of projects where Ataccama DQC had been implemented.)
    The reason why we offer DQ Analyzer for free is to promote DQC. The license limit we have (4 processors) should be understood from this perspective.
    We do not plan to offer Data Quality Analyzer with broader license, at least not in the following year (2010).
