No columns to profile
Cannot select columns in table to create profile. It keeps telling "No columns to profile in selected file(s)". Oracle database, have read access to table (can see the data through SQL Editor).

Hello Marek,
thanks for your report. We have currently fixed the problem with ODBC with Oracle and it solved also the problem column names on Teradata via ODBC. The fix will be in next release of DQ Analyzer.
Unfortunately I do not have any possible workaround for you, downloading JDBC driver to install it into DQ Analyzer helps with column names, but it doesn't work well with columns containing date values. The only possible way to profile your data in Teradata database is probably to export them to text file and profile the file.

1Hello Roman,
thanks for the reported problem.
It seems to me that your problem is caused by using ODBC driver to connect. We look into it and hopefully solve the problem that we don't get the table metadata via Microsoft ODBC driver for Oracle.
The workaround or even better solution to this problem is to use provided JDBC driver for Oracle. The driver is accessible in the drop down list as "Oracle thin" in Edit Database Connection.
Feel free to contact us if you need any help with this or if you experience any problem.

OK, thank you for the tip. It works fine now, I only struggled with assembling the correct url string.

BTW We will try to get the EA4 build with this fix out early next week.
