Help with creating rules

How do I create a rule using a field name which contains spaces? I get errors when I use these types of field names. Is there a way I can select the fields from a list? Thanks.

  • Hi Steve,

The column names with spaces inside have to be enclosed in square brackets, such as [column with spaces]. In an expression or column name field, you can bring up Content assist by pressing Ctrl+Space - it shows all the functions and columns available. If you already started typing a column name, it will only show the matching ones. Another option is the "Fill Columns" button which is present on all places where you fill in lists. It brings up a list with the applicable columns. You select those you want to add (note that you can use wildcards to filter the names) and once you hit OK, the columns will be added.
